Wendy Bryant, Special Programming Director for Little Rock SIATech, was chosen to participate in the grade 10 English Language Arts/Literacy Performance Level Setting Meeting, taking place this summer in Denver, Colorado. SIATech Little Rock is pleased to announce it was awarded an eResources Digital Learning Grant from the Arkansas Public School Resource Center. Along with 32 school districts, SIATech Little Rock will receive funds to provide digital coursework to students. Last month our students enjoyed an inspiring Skype session with Bobby “Bobcat” Ervinprofessionally known as Bobcat or DJ Bobcat. DJ Bobcat is a Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum producer, songwriter, DJ, artist and music executive. The SIATech San Diego 3D printing project allows students to embracing additive manufacturing here in San Diego. SIATech San Diego Charter School was able to procure a state of the art 3D printer through a grant written by Creative Tech teacher Robert Garza. SIATech San Diego high school frog dissection lab use new technology. SIATech and NEWCorp at Sacramento Job Corps participated in the center’s annual Earth Day celebration/project and all center students and staff pitched in to plant trees and flowers throughout the campus, mulch flowerbeds, and ready the center grounds for summer.
