SIATech received the final presentation by the AdvancED Review Team today. The organization was commended for meeting the rigorous requirements of this prestigious full-accreditation recognition and will recommended for accreditation to the AdvancEd Accreditation Commission. The Gallup Student Poll measures hope, engagement, entrepreneurial aspiration, and career/financial literacy. SIATech administered the poll in Fall 2015 along with more than 800,000 other high school students nationwide. SIATech students frequently give higher responses than student responses in the nationwide sample. A recent order in a lawsuit against the California Department of Education (CDE) is impacting all schools across the state, including SIATech. In April 2012, two organizations, the Morgan Hill Concerned Parents Association and the Concerned Parent Association, filed a lawsuit against the CDE alleging widespread, systemic non-compliance by local education agencies with special education See The Story

California State University Northridge (CSUN) welcomed SIATech Boyle Heights Independent High School students for a tour of their campus in November. Students took an eye-opening trip to the Power 106 radio station in December 2015. Power 106 welcomed both SIATech Boyle Heights and Pico-Union high school students to provide a behind-the-scenes tour of what happens in radio. by Ernie Silva The School for Integrated Academics and Technologies (SIATech) is California’s first dropout recovery school to adopt UC approved a-g courses available to all students. Earlier this month we missed our MTA bus from Mariachi Plaza. The 92 was supposed to have us in route to the KLCS Television station in Downtown Los Angeles in under 34 minutes. On October 21st, 2015 a group of students from SIATech Boyle Heights visited the Volunteers of America facility in Skid Row.
