Finish High School!
For the past five years, Mr. Garica at SIATech Boyle Heights Charter School has seen at-risk youth come in one after another. These students range in ages from 16-24 years old and have dropped out of high school for many different reasons. Fortunately, they have received a new opportunity to finish high school and earn a high school diploma.
Mr. Garcia says, "Many of the students work full time or have children and the Schoology program allows students to login from computers and work on assignments from home."
SIATech's Independent Study locations have flexible hours that allow students to come in at different times and turn in assignments or get help from teachers. Furthermore, students interested in furthering their education are assisted in enrolling into college like East Los Angeles Community College. In addition to the many benefits the program offers, SIATech is a tuition-free charter high school.
