SIATech Indio Partners with College of the Desert

SIATech Indio Independent Study and Community Schools Engagement Coordinator Mr. Martinez have been collaborating with College of the Desert (COD) to offer valuable opportunities for students.

On Wednesday April 9th, IDIS partnered with COD to host an on-campus college and financial aid workshop. Representatives from COD were on-site to offer students support with processing and completing their FAFSA and college applications.

Students who completed their college application and obtained a COD student ID number were invited to participate in a field trip to College of the Desert.

On Friday April 25th, SIATech Indio Staff and Mr. Martinez joined six students attended the College of the Desert High school event. During this event students attended a resource fair, toured the campus, and registered for their classes.

The collaboration between IDIS, community schools, and College of the Desert has been very beneficial for students' progress and future endeavors.
