The end of the year! A poignant time, filled with hope and promise, and graduations! SIATech Moreno Valley Independent Study Charter High School celebrated the graduation of their students on May 29th, 2015, with a beautiful ceremony at the lovely Moreno Valley Conference Center.
After walking onto the stage, the graduates were welcomed by Mr. Eric Soule, on behalf of all their teachers. Ms. Ann Gatsi, a long term sub for SIATech, sang our national anthem. Assistant Principal Ms. Leebrina Pagdilao praised the graduates for their accomplishments and presented awards and honors to the students.
Over 200 guests attended to celebrate with our graduates. The key note speakers were Moreno Valley City Council Member Jeffry Giba, and Mayor Jesse Molina. Our student speaker was Kathleen Yescas.
The ceremony was also attended by our partners from ResCare workforce and Ms. Vanessa Pilola and Ms. Jenica Paleo, Operations Supervisors from the Perris and Moreno Valley sites, respectively. Both spoke to our graduates, commending them on their hard work and perseverance. And finally, Ms. Nicole Taylor, Director of Special Education and Student Services, SIATech was on hand to confer diplomas to the Class of 2015!
