SIATech Treasure Island Commencement Address

Congratulations SIATech Treasure Island Class of 2017

Today is the big day. SIATech Treasure Island graduates will receive their high school diplomas. Don't miss out on the celebration and come cheer students on for their accomplishments.

This year's commencement address will be presented by past SIATech graduate, Natalie Johnson.

Natalie Johnson is a cultural producer/activist, social entrepreneur, and new media/entertainment consultant. Her work straddles the intersections between arts and culture, progressive technology, community organizing, and new media which she uses to foster civic engagement, spark dialogue, and empower communities globally.

In 2014, she co-founded a global, collaborative network of cultural producers and change makers who use culture and the arts to impact communities around the world. Natalie served as a cultural agent at the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture as well as fundraised for several organizations including Florida-based organization, Epic Change. Currently, she is a consultant at Project Vida, a Brazilian NGO & DJ school located in Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro, one of South America's largest slums. Lastly, Natalie is on the heels of launching SlumGood, an international trans-media storytelling platform that celebrates exemplary social ideas. Her mission to unify and amplify the power of doing good, no matter how small.
