On January 20, 2016, Flora Rodriguez, the wife of late Art Rodriguez, and daughter Marina came to San Jose Opportunity Youth Academy to speak about the book East Side Dreams.

East Side Dreams is an inspirational book that takes readers through the ups and downs of Art’s life growing up in San Jose, CA.
Students were able to ask a variety of questions about both the book and Art’s life.
The late author’s daughter, Marina, and wife, Flora, talk with students about the book.
It was a great learning experience. We are grateful to Flora and Marina for taking the time to visit our school and students.
