SIATech Jason Vergara (pictured on the right; left to right: Kevin Pressley; Jason Vergara) was working on Introduction to Algebra, and called the HELPline for assistance. He was shocked to have been bombarded with instant messages from the Virtual Team. Jason didn’t know what was happening. He soon realized he was the 5,000th HELPline user! Because of this, the SIATech Virtual Team paid NCIS site a visit to present him with two rewards. He earned a $50 Barnes & Noble and a $20 Old Navy gift card.
Nate started the hybrid ceremony, using Google Hangouts, to introduce the SIATech Virtual Team. Most of the team were speaking to us through video cam while Kevin and Debra were with us in person. Kris Mallory, Chief Instructional Officer of SIATech, was present to help celebrate a great occasion.

Essentially, Jason was rewarded for wanting to learn algebra. Kevin’s motivational speech has inspired the young scholars of SIATech to use the HELPline more often.
